We cry in silence because no one knows

We cry in silence because those who know don’t care

We cry in silence because they told us it was “best” only to turn around and look at us in disgust

We cry in silence because no one understands

We cry in silence because few have been there and those who have are also crying, in silence

We cry in silence because no one was there

We cry in silence because our womb is empty as well as our hearts

We cry in silence because when we cry out loud it’s “selfish” when only months ago we were “selfless”

We cry in silence for all eternity,

We cry in silence, but who will cry out loud for us
